Weekly updates II

The doctor says I am clinically well and biologically excellent.
This is good news for doctors, I guess...

In reality I am tiiiiiiiiiiiiiired as have never been, passing from couch to bed to armchair to bed.
In reality I am coooooold as if in the middle of Januray, wearing 2 sweaters indoors and my ski equipment outdoors.
In reality I have been out for 3 weeks and it feels like I'm not improving.

... not so funny to have a bone marrow graft...

Weekly updates

Results are good: liver and kidneys are ok, graft is ok.
For now I have no GVH events and my doctor is happy.
Only taste and smell will not come back to normal before 3 weeks and I'm looking forward to this because everything I eat tastes like plastic.

I am starting to go out again and walk in the park.
I walk for an hour, not the marathon style but rather the "old lady" style.

1st month

My graft is one month-old.
Happy birthday!
So far so good regarding tolerance issues.

Insomnia

Is it cells growing too loud?
Is it medication-induced disorder?
Is it tea overdose (most probably)?

...and I'm awake and not at all on the way back to sleep...

Really free at last...

I'm back home.

The deal with the doctor was : one more day in the bubble and one less day at the hospital.

So I was back home yesterday, very tired, in the dust of "parquet and peinture" but still, very happy.

I lost at lot of weight and muscle and still have some nausea episodes, but I'm ok.

For some time, I will have to go back twice a week (starting tomorrow) for GVH surveillance.

Disappointment

And one patient entered in emergency this morning, and they gave him MY room, so I’m stuck in the bubblĂ©…

Free at last…

I’m almost free, at last...
I’m out of the bubble!
Can’t sleep anymore since the nurse said that no “night emergency patient” took the room that was reserved for me outside of the bubble.

So I’m back to a normal room, for 2 or 3 days max.
And then back home, forever, hopefully.
